name for sale

We've been talking about Free Radical some lately, let's do it some more.

The place that made TimeSplitters didn't close as some feared it would, but it has axed more than 100 employees, and apparently there are now vultures circling its remains.

What you should also know, though, is that Free Radical founder Steve Ellis and some 20 former Free Radical employees have already opened up a new studio. It definitely wouldn't be fair to reduce Free Radical and its games down to its founder and his hand-picked favorites, but really, I wonder if people are just bidding on the familiar Free Radical name at this point - how much true substance is there left in a stripped-down version of the developer that made the mediocre Haze?
