This week we talk about humor in games – the challenges a game faces being funny, and the hilariousness of games which are funny by accident. Highlights include an absolutely mind-blowing rendition of Staind’s “It’s Been Awhile,” which you might remember if you were listening to the radio at ay point between 2002 and 2007. Maybe next week we’ll break out some Korn.
Back to the old school for music this week, with the Moon level theme from the NES Duck Tales game. This was made back before people who made licensed games knew they were supposed to be crappy – Capcom actually put out a fairly engaging platformer which just happened to feature licensed characters. Try finding that in a SpongeBob SquarePants game.
