Feeling Pressure from The Kills

killsThere’s this band, alright, made up of Alison Mosshart and guitarist Jamie Hince. They call themselves The Kills, and they have a new album on the way titled Blood Pressures. You might want to take notice.

You might also want to give their new track “Satellite” a listen if you enjoy fuzzy blues rock with a reggae feel. You can also listen if you’d like to find out if you enjoy fuzzy blues rock with a reggae feel.

For those in need of a reference point, check out Rob’s thoughts on The Dead Weather (among others) from last spring:

“I’ve never been simultaneously attracted to and terrified by anyone quite like Allison Mosshart. Formerly of The Kills, an unstrung, punkish duo, Mosshart teamed up with Jack White (The White Stripes), Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age) and Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs) to form The Dead Weather, a skuzzy, southern-fried rock outfit that possibly wants to drink your blood.”

I’ll likely be singing this song’s closing wordless refrain until Blood Pressures drops April 5.
