I thought it was fine in pretty much all the Bat-movies except &quot;Dark Knight.&quot;<br /><br />But like most aspects of Batman, I think it was done best in the Animated Series: the Bat-voice is the voice he uses normally (hanging around the Batcave, talking to Alfred/Robin, etc).
