I kind of like having an overwhelmingly large music collection. I consider that as a collective warehouse that other people can choose from, and don't see any reason to be embarrassed by music I used to like, or never really gave much of a listen.
For me, what is currently on my mp3 player is probably the best reflection of who I am now. That changes often and I will obsessively listen to a song/album for a month and then put it away for a year, only to add it back on and start the cycle over again.
